I'm a fan of Microsoft's Remote Desktop it's built into Windows and allows me to quickly and easily administer a remote box from the comfort of my own work station.I use it at my house to administer the headless servers on my home network, the Subtext build server, and the co-located VelocIT servers. To give the command, f rom the application menu, go to Actions - Ctrl+Alt+Del. On a remote Mac, sending the Ctrl+Alt+Del command will open the Force Quit Applications window. You can send the Ctrl+Alt+Del command to a remote Windows computer to view the options for locking the computer, launching the task manager, signing off the current user profile etc. ![]() To give the command, from the application menu, go to Actions - Ctrl+Alt+Del. Note that this does not apply to the Ctrl-Alt-Del command. This includes but is not limited to modifier keys, function keys, and the Windows Start key. ![]() When in full screen mode, special keys are passed through to the remote system. View the remote desktop in full screen mode or return to the interface view.
